The Auntie Kitchen

each episode, a new country

The Auntie Kitchen

Part interview, part cooking lesson, all heart. Each week I sit down with someone from a different corner of the world to hear the story behind a dish that matters to them and then we make it together. Every episode is a new country and a new story worth telling.

This is how I make sure stories are told!

I have sat at a lot of tables in my life. Fifty countries, six continents, countless kitchens, and the one thing I noticed everywhere I went was that the most important recipes were never written down. They lived in the hands of someone’s mother, grandmother, or auntie. Passed down through repetition and without any measurements!

I started The Auntie Kitchen because I was terrified those recipes — and the stories behind them — would disappear. So I started asking. I started filming. And what I found was that every single person, from every single place, had a dish that told their whole story.

This show is my way of making sure those stories get told.
